Stockpin Info
When you purchase a stockpin you are buying a future antique and a family piece - I still have my grandfathers stockpin!
Choose from a nail, whip or horn for your 'base' then add anything you like to personalise your stockpin.
Bespoke stockpins are one of our favourite things to make - add gemstones, include different coloured metals, incorporate jewellery or stones you have inherited... Anything is possible!
All our stockpins are made with a stainless steel pin back that, if kept sharp, will not bend or break.
Top Tips
We recommend that if you are having trouble getting it to go through your stock easily then you simply sharpen the end with a nail file.
You should feed your pin twice through your stock and listen for the ‘click’ when you put the pin into the loop 'latch' to ensure your pin is secure.
The metal on your stockpin may tarnish if left sitting around so simply wash in warm soapy
water (dishwashing liquid will do), pat it dry and then put a little brasso or silvo onto a soft cloth and give it a good rub.
